  1. Healthy Recipe, Apple-Hummus Toast

    This is not only quick to prepare (less than 15 minutes), but it’s also rich in healthy fats, whole-grain carbohydrates, and protein. Plus, it’s high in fiber, which will help keep you satiated and promote healthy digestion.

    • Wheat Bread

    From Livestrong. Serves two.

    INGREDIENTS

    •  1 serving Apples, Jonathan
    •  1/2 cup hummus
    •  1 tsp Vinegar, Apple Cider
    •  2 slice 7 Grain Sourdough Whole
    •  2 tsp extra-virgin olive oil
    •  1/4 tsp sea salt
    •  1/2 tsp ground black pepper
    •  1/8 tsp fresh rosemary

    DIRECTIONS

    1. Core the Jonathan (or other red) apple. Cut the apple in half lengthwise, then cut crosswise into extra-thin slices.
    2. Stir the hummus and vinegar together in a small bowl. Spread onto the toasts.
    3. Arrange the apple slices in overlapping style over the hummus.
    4. Drizzle with the oil. Sprinkle with salt, pepper, and rosemary to taste.
