  1. 5 Tips to De-Stress after the Holidays

    Stress is a killer at any time. But it can feel even worse during the holidays.

    Every time around the start of a year, we need to decompress. Whether traveling, socializing, or working more than usual, it’s essential to close this hectic period and get back to a calm routine. Here are five easy tips for now or anytime you need to press reset.

    1. Regular physical exercise is one of our top defenses at any age. It affects your whole body, including your brain, in positive ways – combatting the negative effects of stress.
    2. Eat right, drink plenty of water, and get good sleep. The basics of health matter.
    3. Express your worries and emotions. Tell family, friends, doctors, and caregivers what’s on your mind. Keep up your creative outlets.
    4. Relax, meditate, pray, and practice an attitude of gratitude. Focus on your blessings.
    5. Read a book, listen to music, enjoy art. Limit exposure to TV news and social media.
