    Description: We want to hang out with you on Sunday afternoons for each week’s walking/running distance. We will warm you up, pace you, encourage you, cool you down and answer any burning questions you may have

  2. Beach to Bay

    Beach to Bay will be here before you know it and your training will “make or break” how you feel on race day. Your Personal Best Training Studio has some tools for you including an entry level running schedule for this event. I tell my team and my clients, “Just get in the mileage! Run, walk or do a combination. No two training days will feel exactly the same. Follow the schedule to the very best of your ability and you WILL be surprised to find that the actual event is just the icing on the cake”. Stay hydrated throughout your training season consuming a minimum of 55% in oz. of water of your bodyweight. For my 120 pounds I must drink a minimum of 66 oz. of water per day! If you are prone to having knee problems (especially women), consider doing these knee injury prevention exercises 2 – 3 x weekly. I even do a single combination of them at a curb or wherever is available before the longer training runs and the actual race. From all my own IT band problems, I’m even training in Vibram Fivefingers now available at Ascuba Venture. This is as close as I can get to running this race barefooted! Eat with your team the night before and be there for them at the finish line! You are a team! Have fun with this event, the energy of it will buoy you and you’ll want to do it year after year!
